Bintulu Airport

 

In Bintulu the services of this units is similar with other ATC units that’s responsible for the provision of the air traffic control services to ensure the safe and efficient air movements in Malaysian airspace.

It is also responsible for coordinating and providing search and rescue and also assists appropriate authority when ever required.

As such in Bintulu we provide Aerodrome and Approach control. Our administration side is taking charge the administrative jobs.

Area of responsibility of Aerodrome and Approach control is from ground or sea up to 7500 feet mean sea level, but the highest usable level is 7000 ft. And service provide to aircraft flying with visual reference to the surface, in the vicinity of the aerodrome and operating on the maneuvering area.
